That sap is not just annoying. It bonds to the clear coat, and in the sun it hardens and can etch the finish if it sits for weeks. Scraping at it or scrubbing hard is how people put scratches into their paint trying to remove it. The right way is to soften and lift it with proper solvents and lubrication, then follow with a clay bar to pull out anything that has bonded, and a fresh wax so the next round of sap has a harder time sticking.
